Week 1

Things are going good! I am actually kinda starting to like it here. Except the days are soooo long. our districts schedule is wake up, and me and Varstnicul Laker roll right out of bed and go get in line for a sack breakfast and then we go back and plan for the day then do our language study, personal study, then comp study and then we eat lunch then have our first class at 1:30 and its 3 hours long then after that we just hang out then go eat dinner and then go to our next 3 hour class at 6. we have two teachers that are RMs from romania and i like them both. they are trying a new curriculum on our district so we dont teach our first lesson till next week. we are supposed to teach a romanian member 2 20 minute lessons next tuesday and its gonna be terrible cuz we dont know hardly any romanian. i can say a prayer in romanian and bear my testimony in romanian but not too much more than that.  The food here actually isnt too bad! you just have to know what not to eat. i have been eating

First P-Day

Well the MTC has been pretty good so far! Yesterday was really fast pace and right once we got here they started speaking romanian to us. There is only 3 of us in my district because theres only 3 romanian speakers here! And they interviewed us and called me to be the district leader last night. I have no clue what im doing really but i hope i figure it out. so theres just one girl (Sora Thompson) and one boy (Elder Laker) besides me. Elder Laker is the one whos related to the flakes in snowflake. i have two romanian teachers and they are both sisters who served missions in romania. Oh and i saw Elder Neff today at lunch! it was good to see someone who i know. but everyone here is super super nice, especially to the new missionaries.  after i got to the airport a few other missionaries showed up and two were going to boston on their mission! but i didnt know they were going to speak portugese until they told me and elder laker we were rooming with the portugese and we found them in ou

Getting to the MTC

The day before dustin left we went to the valley and stayed at a Homewood Suites by Hilton because he had to be at the airport at 5:30 Thursday July 5, 2018 morning. We tried watching some fireworks from our motel room because it was the Fourth of July- we saw a few but most of us were in bed before the close ones started.  We woke up about 4:30 Thursday to get ready to head to the airport.  Loaded up at the motel ready to go to the airport. Walking in- And the so so so hard goodbye- The hardest good bye we have ever done by far! It was a miserable/ joy and we cried lots of happy tears!  It was a blessing Scott, Tedi and Porter were in Salt Lake and picked him up at the airport, got him some lunch where Brigham met them. Last good byes from the family. An Elder met them in the parking garage to get Elder McLaws in and settled!
